Tinubu gives update on health as northern lawmakers visit him in London

The National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu, has said he is healthy and only undergoing physiotherapy in London, UK.

Tinubu said this as he welcomed members of the House of Representatives northern caucus on Friday.

The former governor of Lagos State, who has been in the UK for the last three months since undergoing knee surgery, however, admitted he was undergoing “gruesome” physiotherapy.

He said, “Because of God and people like you, I am well. It is just the physio (physiotherapy) that is gruesome.”

Since his departure, notable political figures like President Muhammadu Buhari; Speaker, Femi Gbajabiamila; Governors Abdullahi Ganduje (Kano), Dapo Abiodun (Ogun), Babajide Sanwo-Olu (Lagos), Rotimi Akeredolu (Ondo), and Kayode Fayemi (Ekiti), have visited him in London.

His prolonged stay abroad has drawn criticism from a section of Nigerians who believe he ought to have stayed in the country to receive treatment.
