Northern traders are lamenting about the ongoing food strike as bag of onion sold in the South for N35k crashes to N7k in the North

In video shared by @daily_trust, the farmers and marketers at the Gun-Dutse onion market, Dawakin Kudu Local government Area of Kano State, were seen lamenting the effect of the ongoing strike has caused to traders in the North.

Recall that food stuff were restricted from the Northern part of the country to the South, as trucks were turned back at Kara Jebba, the last village between Niger state and Kwara state, to prevent them from bringing in food to the South.

Miyetti Allah, the national leadership of the Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) demanded compensation for the losses suffered by Northern traders in the recent mayhem at Shasha market in Ibadan, Oyo State.
