UNIJOS Ex-Students’ Union Welfare Secretary reportedly dr#wns in Plateau State

Friends and family of Sholex Showul Alex, a former students’ union welfare secretary at University of Jos, are currently mourning his demise.

According to reports, the deceased and a group of friends organized a Facebook Fun Hike which took place on Saturday, 26 March, 2022 at Shere Hills in Jos.

An eyewitness who spoke to Salem Gists said that the event was going just fine and fun as planned, thereafter Sholex and six other friends from the group decided to swim in a river at Shere Hills. Sholex went out to rest after a first round swim, the eyewitness said, adding that as he jumped in for the second time and got speculatively to the middle point of the river, he began to dr#wn.

Sholex’s friends who were already shocked made efforts to rescue him but their efforts proved abortive. According to Dashe Domjul on Facebook, Sholex’s body was retrieved after hours of search in the River.
