The Department of State Services (DSS) has denied earlier reports that its Operatives attempted to arrest Chief Sunday Adeyemo popularly called Sunday Igboho.
The attempt to arrest Chief Sunday Adeyemo popularly known as Sunday Igboho, was reportedly carried out by combined security operatives along the Lagos Ibadan expressway.
OsmekNews gathered that, Sunday Igboho was on his way to Lagos to visit Chief Ayo Adebanjo, a Yoruba leader and an Elder statement.
The Department of State Services (DSS) has now denied any form of involvement in the operation.
This was contained in a statement made available to newsmen in Abuja on Friday by the Spokesperson of the Service, Dr Peter Afunanya.
According to him,” the said news is misinforming and should be taken as fake and therefore be disregarded.”
Igboho had few weeks back issued quit notice to Fulani herdsmen in Igangan, Ibarapa North Local Government Area of Oyo State over killings of Yoruba people by herdsmen.
At the expiration of the seven days ultimatum, he visited Ibarapa and told the Fulani herdsmen to leave after he addressed thousands of people in the area.
