“What is this joke” – Falz reacts to Lagos government implementation of 5 percent levy on all audio and visual content

Nigerian popular rapper, Falz has reacted to the Lagos state government’s new implementation of 5 percent levy on all audio and visual content on all phyical and digital platforms.

According to the notice addressed to the Managing Director of Iroko TV, the Lagos State Government has requested for the immediate payment of 5% levy on all audio and visual content produced, sold, distributed, marketed, exhibited, streamed, downloaded and shared across all physical and digital platform situate, lying and being within the state.

Reacting to notice on Instagram, Falz described the decision by the Lagos State government as a joke. He wrote “What is this joke?”.
