EPL: I want happy players – Maresca tells angry Chelsea stars to leave club
Enzo Maresca, the head coach of Chelsea football club, has categorically told unhappy players at the club to leave Stamford Bridge.
Maresca insisted that he only wants players that are happy to remain at the Premier west London club.
The Italian stated this while speaking about Arsenal’s interest in Noni Madueke.
“Noni [Madueke] has been very important for us,” Maresca told reporters on after Chelsea’s victory against Palmeiras in the Club World Cup in the early hours of Saturday.
The former Leicester City coach added, that “But my message to the players and to the club is that I want just players that are happy to be with us.
“The ones that aren’t happy, they’re free to go.”
Chelsea’s next match is against Fluminense in the Club World Cup tournament in the semi-final on Tuesday.
