Emir of Zuru, Muhammad Sani Sami Goma II, D+es in London at 81
The Emir of Zuru, Alhaji Muhammad Sani Sami Goma II, has passed away at the age of 81.
The monarch d+ed on Saturday night at a hospital in London after a brief illness, according to a statement by Kebbi State Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Abubakar Dustin Mari.
He is survived by four wives and seven children. Describing the late emir as a courageous traditional ruler, the state government expressed condolences to his family, the Zuru Emirate, and the people of Kebbi State, praying for Allah’s comfort and strength for the bereaved.
Details of the burial arrangements will be announced later as the state officially mourns his passing.
