We’ll Break the ‘Corruption Siege’ — EFCC Chairman, Ola Olukoyede, Assures Nigerians as He Calls for the Creation of an Anti-Corruption Court

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has attributed the increasing visa restrictions faced by Nigerians abroad to the activities of internet fra¥dsters and money la¥nderers.

In a statement released on Tuesday, the EFCC Chairman, Ola Olukoyede, urged youths in the South-South to shun cybercr+me and financial offences, warning that such crimes destr%y lives and futures.

According to him, internet fra¥d, money la¥ndering, and other forms of economic sabotage cost Nigeria billions of naira annually, hinder national development, and r%b citizens of infrastructure, jobs, and opportunities. He further stressed that these crimes tarnish Nigeria’s international image, resulting in harsher visa conditions for innocent Nigerians.

Speaking at an event organized by the Coalition of Nigerian Youth on Security and Safety Affairs (CONYSSA), Olukoyede said:
“Fr@ud is not success; it is a trap. Easy come, easy go. Those who embrace ‘yahoo-yahoo’ often lose their freedom, reputation, and future. The law is catching up with them, and digital footprints never disappear. Don’t ruin your tomorrow with shortcuts today.”

He encouraged young people to invest their energy and creativity in meaningful ventures such as technology, entrepreneurship, agriculture, and the creative industry, rather than crim+nal activities.
