Jake Epelle, the founder of Albino Foundation, has spoken strongly about the misuse of public funds in Rivers State. During an interview with News Central TV, he accused some individuals and groups of stealing money that belongs to the people.
Epelle said the money meant to improve the lives of Rivers people has been pocketed by a few, while ordinary citizens continue to suffer. He explained that the resources of the state are not for a few people to share like a birthday cake. According to him, those who have taken public money will one day be forced by God and nature to return it.
“One day God will set up a scenario and orchestrate a strategy that would make you vomit that money. It doesn’t matter how long it takes,” Epelle declared.
He explained that this stolen money could have been used to equip hospitals, support students, empower professionals, and help market women grow their businesses. Instead, many people in Rivers State are left without the benefits they deserve.
Epelle stressed that the consequences of corruption cannot be escaped. He said God Almighty and the laws of nature will continue to fight until every stolen resource is returned to its rightful owners.
He added that those who stole the people’s wealth will not find peace until justice is done.
