Pastor Tobi has reacted to a viral skit by American comedian Druski, condemning what he described as repeated attempts by comedians to mock the church for laughs.
Speaking on the issue, Pastor Tobi said, “When these f@t people run out of jokes, they just go to the church because, I mean, the church own is funny, right?” He criticised the trend of using religious institutions as punchlines, arguing that it is often done without understanding the church’s impact.

He further noted that many entertainers benefitted from the church while growing up, stating, “We all came out of a church system, and some of your actors and actresses were raised with those offerings.”
Defending the church’s role in society, Pastor Tobi added, “The churches give to their communities more than your rappers do. The most stingy pastor is still a better giver than the greatest rapper because he’s giving out of what he doesn’t have.”

Making his position clear, he concluded, “I don’t find anything a comedian is doing in the church funny. Don’t send it to me, don’t be m@d. It’s not funny, and we are not laughing at what’s not funny.”
