Media personality and shepherd of the Celestial Church of Christ, Praiseville Global, Kunle Hamilton, has sparked backlash after condemning Big Brother Naija Season 10 and its winner, Opeyemi Ayanwale, popularly known as Imisi.
In a viral video covered by Legit.ng, Hamilton described the reality show as “a swimming pool of s+n where they photocopy other people’s lifestyles,” adding that Imisi’s victory is “nothing to be proud of.” He said, “If I had Imisi’s phone number, I would personally congratulate her but would never do so publicly,” noting that if she maintained her Christian mindset, “she would continue to prosper.”
The cleric also criticized other pastors who publicly congratulated Imisi, saying such actions send the wrong message to youths, encouraging them to “do anything to make money.” His comments followed viral clips of Celestial Church members celebrating Imisi’s win during the show’s finale.
Earlier, Legit.ng reported that Imisi suffered a brief wardrobe malfunction moments after being declared winner. In another clip, her mother was seen praying over her new car, a moment that melted hearts online. Despite the criticisms, Imisi continues to receive love and support from fans and church members who see her win as a symbol of grace and perseverance.
