Tiwa Savage has revealed a shocking incident from her career, recounting how she lost a major endorsement simply because she refused to travel to Dubai to meet a company chairman. Speaking during her show, the award-winning singer explained that at a certain point, the pressure became so direct that she was told she would “lose a role” if she didn’t agree to see a particular chairman in person.
Tiwa said the experience opened her eyes to how often talent is overlooked in the industry. She narrated how one company insisted she travel with their boss to Dubai, and when she declined, the endorsement was withdrawn without hesitation. According to her, it was at that moment she realised “they don’t send my talent,” noting that the situation hurt her deeply.
While addressing the audience, Tiwa spoke candidly about how artists are frequently undervalued despite their hard work. She said many people do not understand the hidden pressures entertainers face behind the scenes.
The crowd reacted with sympathy as she shared how the incident made her question the standards and expectations placed on female artists, stressing that respect for creativity should matter more than unhealthy demands.
