Nollywood actress Bimbo Thomas has recounted how armed men att+cked her and Funke Akindele during the filming of Omo Ghetto, revealing that the incident occurred late at night and left them deeply shaken.
Speaking on the With Chude podcast, Thomas said the att+ck happened around midnight when they heard loud banging and shouts of “Ole! Ole!” She said they initially checked through the window but saw nothing suspicious.
According to her, they tried to move a bed to block themselves in, but it could not conceal Akindele. Thomas said she then asked Akindele to hide under the gown she was wearing while they knelt to pray. She recalled that others in the room, including a masseuse, were also praying intensely as the att+ckers continued trying to force their way in.

Thomas said the armed men eventually broke into the room and repeatedly asked, “Funke da?”, making it clear Akindele was their target. When one of them thr+atened to sh%ot if Akindele did not come out, she revealed herself from hiding.
She said the men ordered Akindele to p#0¥ll her clothes and dr+gged her outside, instructing her to take them to her car. Thomas said those left behind were left trembling, unsure of what would happen next.

She added that she later heard Akindele singing “Emi omo ghetto, I was born in the ghetto,” as the att+ckers allegedly forced her to sing and dance. Shortly after, g¥nsh+ts rang out.
Thomas said Akindele eventually escaped by running towards the generator area, where an inj¥red security guard gave her a towel to wrap herself, ending the terrifying ordeal.
