In a video shared on his Instagram page on Thursday, AY spoke about how social media often presents a distorted version of reality, where luxury lifestyles, exotic vacations, and designer fashion create the illusion of effortless success.

According to him, many of the glamorous posts people admire are carefully curated to project false images of wealth and happiness.

The actor revealed that some influencers and content creators go as far as borrowing clothes, posing in hotel lobbies, or using other people’s cars just to appear successful.

AY likened social media to a movie set where everything is staged, urging fans to focus on personal growth rather than competing with illusions, emphasizing on living simply and authentically

“Many of these celebrities you envy are living on borrowed wigs, borrowed outfits, and borrowed lifestyles. Some take pictures in hotel lobbies and call them their new homes, while others pose with cars that don’t belong to them. Social media is like a movie set; not everything you see online is real.”

The comedian concluded by advising his followers to “grow at their own pace,” remain true to themselves, and choose contentment over comparison.
