Nobody Can Rebuild The North Like Me — Peter Obi Says, Insisting We Can Make More Money Through Agriculture Than Crude Oil

Speaking with Arise TV, he emphasized the need for strategic partnerships and investment in critical sectors to unlock the region’s economic potential.

“I am working with them (Nasir El-Rufai, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso and other northerners) so they can back me. Nobody can do what I intend to do in the northern part of Nigeria,” he said.

Obi stressed that the North holds vast economic opportunities, particularly in agriculture, which he believes can surpass oil revenue if properly harnessed.

“I will rebuild the North. Nigeria’s greatest asset is in the North, there is vast land for agriculture, and we can make more money through agriculture than we make from oil. If we want to secure the North today, we need to start investing in agriculture, start pulling people out of poverty, invest in education and health. We have a future in the North, and I can see it,” he added.
