Mallam Aminu Ibrahim Ringim’s endorsement of the ADC is not just another political statement. It is a serious signal from Jigawa that the opposition conversation in the North is beginning to shift from emotion to strategy.
By declaring ADC as the only viable opposition platform ahead of 2027, Ringim has touched the heart of the matter. The next election will not be won by noise, scattered ambition, or political experiments that divide the same frustrated voters who want change. It will be won by alignment, structure, discipline, and a platform strong enough to carry a national rescue mission.
His rejection of the NDC is even more important. If any political arrangement ends up dividing the Northern vote and quietly helping Tinubu’s re-election, then Nigerians have every right to question its purpose. Opposition politics must not become a gift to the ruling party.
