If Sim Fubara Wants to Deal With Wike, I Don’t Think Wike Will Have the Mouth to Say, “We Resolved This” -Igbe

Elder statesman, former security adviser to the Rivers State Government, and chieftain of the Pan Niger Delta Forum (PANDEF), Anabs Sara-Igbe, spoke about the ongoing political tension between Siminalayi Fubara and the minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, in a video posted on Symfoni on Wednesday, May 13, 2026.

Sara-Igbe praised Governor Fubara for what he described as a calm and peaceful approach to governance despite the political crisis in Rivers State. He alleged that the governor had chosen restraint rather than escalating tensions in the state.

According to him, “If Sim wants to deal with Wike, I don’t think Wike will have even the mouth to say, ‘Oh, we resolve this, we don’t resolve that.’ Because he has humility, you don’t have humility. And if he wants to deal with you the way you are doing, the way you are recruiting militants to fight, to do things, to make noise, then the state will not be at peace. But here we have a calm person who has demonstrated that peace is the best, and so, we are following him accordingly.”
