The Dumebi Kachikwu-led faction of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has announced plans to hold its national convention in Abuja on Sunday.

In a press invitation issued on Sunday, Kingsley Temitope Ogah, spokesman of the faction, said the convention is part of preparations for the 2027 general elections.

Ogah said the event would bring together party leaders, delegates, state executives, youth and women representatives, as well as political stakeholders from across the country.

According to him, the convention will deliberate on the future direction of the party and strengthen its internal democratic structures.

Ogah said the convention would also provide a platform for discussions on national development, political inclusion and grassroots mobilisation.

“The convention will also provide a platform for robust discussions on national development, political inclusion, grassroots mobilisation, and the need to build a stronger democratic alternative capable of addressing Nigeria’s pressing challenges,” he said.

The event is scheduled to hold at A-Class Garden in Wuse II, Abuja, by 3pm.
