The Presidency on Wednesday vowed to prosecute Nigerian social media critic, Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as Verydarkman, VDM, for allegedly sharing fake audio of President Bola Tinubu.
OSMEK NEWS gathered that a post by an X user, @Pious_minister showed that an AI generated audio of the President was played in VDM’s video.
The audio captured Tinubu’s voice, saying that the insecurity in Nigeria would continue because Nigerians didn’t vote for him in 2023.
Reacting, Tinubu’s media aide, Bayo Onanuga in a post on his official X handle, said VDM would be made to face the full weight of the law.
He wrote, “This VDM needs to face the weight of the law for being the conveyor and disseminator of a fake audio of President Tinubu.
“This is a clear case of an egregious abuse of the social media platform”.
However, a quick check revealed that VDM has no such audio in his videos.
