Heavy Gunfire as Boko Haram Attacks Chibok, Sets Schools Ablaze
Suspected Boko Haram/ISWAP t+rrorists on Saturday night launched another att@ck on Kautikari village in Chibok Local Government Area of Borno State, setting two schools abl@ze and forcing residents to flee for safety.
The att@ck, which reportedly began around 7 p.m., targeted the community’s primary school and day secondary school, both of which were engulfed in flames as terrified villagers escaped into nearby bushes.
Kautikari, a village in Chibok, has s¥ffered repeated Boko Haram attacks over the years, raising fresh concerns about security in the area.
A security operative from the village, who is currently based in Maiduguri, confirmed the incident, saying residents were caught off guard by the latest a§§ault.
“Yes, I can confirm to you that our village (Kautikari) in the Chibok Local Government Area is under Boko Haram att@ck,” he said.
“Our people are scampering for safety, even as two schools (primary and day secondary school) are on f+re.”
