OWERRI, NIGERIA — The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) has concluded its highly anticipated primary elections across Imo State, determining the party’s official flagbearers for the Senate, Federal House of Representatives, and State House of Assembly ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The exercise, which saw a mix of consensus arrangements and fiercely contested delegate voting across the state’s three senatorial districts and 27 local government areas, has already begun generating significant political waves.
