One Teacher K+ lled, Scores of Students Feared Abd¥cted as B@ndits Storm Borno Secondary School

A teacher has been confirmed d+ad while dozens of students were reportedly abd¥cted after g¥nmen att@cked Government Day Secondary School in Lassa, Askira/Uba Local Government Area of Borno State.

The incident was confirmed on Monday by the Special Adviser to Adamawa State Governor Ahmadu Fintiri on Media and Strategy, Solomon Kwamagar, who said the att@ckera invaded the school after arriving on motorcycles.

According to Kwamagar, the as+ailants moved through the Lassa market, which was holding its market day, before heading to the school.

“Today is Lassa market day. I was informed that they came through the market on motorcycles and went to Government Day Secondary School, Lassa. They sh@t and k+lled one teacher and took away all the students who were in their classrooms,” he said.

Kwamagar, a native of Lassa who currently resides in Madagali Local Government Area of Adamawa State, said the community is predominantly inhabited by the Margi people, whose population spans both Borno and Adamawa states.

He noted that efforts were still ongoing to determine the exact number of students and staff members abd¥cted during the att@ck.
“I’m still making contacts to ascertain the total number of students and teachers who were k+dnapped from the school,” he added.
