Nigerian Singer Brymo has responded to a lyric by colleague, Burna Boy in which the Grammy-winning artist rapped, “Hustle make you no fall off like Brymo.”
Speaking during an appearance on the NotJustOk podcast, Brymo said he had no intention of mentioning Burna Boy in any of his songs, insisting the singer was “not that important” to him.
“I told him your name no go ever appear for my song. You’re not that important. Who’s your mate? You won a Grammy, and so what? It was bought now. I’ve been told to pay $10,000 for a BET Awards before,” Brymo said.
He also questioned Burna Boy’s artistry, adding, “Can you perform, can you write, can you sing? I don’t care what fraternity you belong to.”
Adding that the award winning artist is not up to his level when it comes to doing pure music.
