In an interview with Symfoni TV, Babachir Lawal, former Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), stated that President Bola Tinubu eats only banana with groundnuts for breakfast sometimes
Lawal added that on some mornings, Tinubu prefers to eat ogi and moi-moi for breakfast, and he has never seen him eat akara. He said before Tinubu became president, he used to visit Tinubu’s house often and sometimes joined him for breakfast
In Babachir Lawal’s words: “Tinubu is not even somebody that likes to enjoy food. He will wake up in the morning and there is banana in his living room. He will eat banana and groundnut and that is his food. Or sometimes in the morning they bring ogi and moi-moi and he takes. I have never seen him eating Akara. I go there any time of the day”
