Sir, We members of NDC from Oshodi/Isolo Federal Constituency, Lagos State, Nigeria, wish to openly and formally reject imposition of unknown candidate that never participated in the just concluded NDC Primary election in Lagos State as the preferred winner of election the candidate never participated in the first place.
Sir, it is to our greatest surprise that one controversial Man called Mr. John Oziegbe Ughulu, allegedly Invited Hon. Lukman Alabi whom is unknown to the electorates and to make matters worse that never participated in the NDC Primary elections in Lagos State, to be parading himself as the Candidate for NDC Oshodi/Isolo Federal Constituency 1 for 2027 General Elections. Absolutely unacceptable!
It’s fairly disgusting and disturbing that a lot of People are trying to use the good name of Mr. Peter Obi to promote their selfish political interest. Hon. Lukman Alabi, based on available public information, primarily on a single mainstream news source. A New Telegraph article published on 19 July 2026 explicitly states:
“The Candidate of the Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC) in Oshodi Isolo Constituency 1 in Lagos State for the House of Representatives, Hon Lukman Alabi Ibrahim has felicitated with the Presidential candidate of the party, Mr Peter Obi…” Newtelegraphng
The same claim was amplified by the newspaper’s official X account on the same day.”..
We members of NDC Oshodi/Isolo Federal Constituency 1, firmly reject the above Publication by New Telegraph and released on behalf of one unknown “Hon. Lukeman Alabi, who never participated in the NDC primary election that took place in Oshodi/Isolo as misleading misinformation and inaccurate. No one knows Hon. Lukeman Alabi that was allegedly invited from London by one Mr.John Oziegbe Ughulu to start parading himself as the candidate of NDC Oshodi/Isolo Candidate for Federal House of representatives. Absolutely unacceptable and we firmly reject this development as fraudulent and dead on arrival.
There were only 3 Aspirants at the primaries. Namely:
Oshodi Isolo 1
1. AKINYEMI Akintunde (Winner and leading candidate)
2. Owadara Muyiwa –
3. Mustapha Okandeji
The good People of Oshodi-Isolo Federal Constituency 1 Lagos, all witnessed everything that happened during the NDC Primary election process on Friday 29th May 2026.
Because it became clear that Arc. AKINYEMI Akintunde Kazeem was winning massively in Oshodi-Isolo Federal Constituency 1, a desperate opponent and his sponsored thugs resorted to intimidation, obstruction, and disruption of the electoral process just to silence the voice of the people.
What happened was unfair, unacceptable, and against the principles of democracy and to our great party NDC.
Many supporters and voters were disenfranchised and denied the opportunity to have their votes counted.
An election where the will of the people is suppressed can never be described as credible, free, or fair.
Despite all the intimidation and manipulation, one truth remains undeniable the people are solidly behind ARC.AKINTUNDE KAZEEM AKINYEMI.
The massive support, crowd turnout, and acceptance across all the five wards in Oshodi-Isolo Federal Constituency 1 clearly showed who truly has the structure, capacity, and grassroots connection.
From Mafoluku, to Orile-Oshodi, to Oshodi/ Bolade, to Sogunle and Sogunle/Alasia
the people stood with AKINYEMI AKINTUNDE KAZEEM because they believe in competent leadership, compassion, accessibility, and genuine representation.
