Activist VeryDarkman has returned to the ongoing controversy involving Peter Okoye and his brothers, saying he had taken his time to follow the case and gather “something tangible” before speaking again.
Addressing Peter’s recent statements, VeryDarkman said Peter “picked the right time to speak” because his brothers are currently in court and cannot publicly respond without risking contempt of court.
VeryDarkman alleged that Peter had previously told him several things about his brothers, including a claim that made him feel Jude Okoye wanted to sleep with Lola. He also said Peter told him about an alleged CCTV footage of Paul Okoye sleeping with a house help, which he claimed Paul’s wife caught him doing.
VeryDarkman said Peter later claimed he had “lifted the curse” after Jude had a son.
He further alleged that Peter did not tell the story to him alone, claiming he approached at least three other celebrities in Abuja and several in Lagos in a bid to secure their sympathy and support before publicly sharing his side.
“He met the people that have a strong platform. Told them this story one on one. He made sure he won their sympathy, won their conscience, then looked for a perfect time to come and tell the story,” he said.
VeryDarkman also accused Peter of manipulation, questioning his social media activities after his court appearance and alleging that he promoted his music after making his videos.
He further challenged Peter’s claim that Jude was preventing him from performing Psquare songs, saying Peter had previously stated that the brothers agreed nobody would perform Psquare songs since they were pursuing solo careers.
“Manipulation and fake cry,” VeryDarkman said, adding, “Now that everything has cooled down, I’m back.”
