Businesswoman Ehi Ogbedor has opened up about the uncertainty she experienced in her marriage, revealing that just three days after her wedding, she suddenly questioned whether she had made the right decision.

Speaking on the WithChude podcast, Ehi said she approached her husband and told him, “Sorry, sorry, I don’t think I want to marry you. I swear to God.”

According to her, the feeling came suddenly, as though “something cleared from my eyes.” While some people suggested it could have been “juju,” Ehi said she does not believe in it and could not explain what exactly triggered the feeling.

“I don’t know what it is, or what it was. But I know three days after, I can never forget. And I’m like, ‘No, I don’t know if I wanted to marry you,’” she recounted.

Ehi described the marriage as an “unsure marriage” from her end, saying her doubts were further intensified by what she described as her husband’s controlling nature.

She revealed that she left the marriage more than once, including while she was pregnant, and returned to her parents’ home because “I don’t feel safe.” However, her husband kept coming back to plead with her, while her family encouraged her to return.

Ehi also recalled that although they lived in Edo State, her husband told her to make her family believe she was living abroad.

“He would tell me, like, ‘Let your family take it that you live abroad,’” she said.
