Popular Anambra comedian and media personality, Isaac Nwosu, popularly known as Aiza Nwosu,unknown g¥nmen has reportedly been shot de@d by unidentified g¥nmen in Awka, Anambra State.
Nwosu was reportedly att@cked on SM Okeke Street on Sunday while driving his Hilux truck, which was fitted with loudspeakers.
According to sources, the assailants allegedly monitored him and trailed him from his residence in a Toyota Corolla with tinted windows before att@cking him.
He reportedly d+ed inside his vehicle after being shot, while music continued to blare from the sound system. His truck was said to have ended up in a ditch,suggesting that he was caught off guard.
Nwosu was well known in Awka for driving around the city, making announcements and entertaining residents with music through the loudspeakers fitted to his vehicle.
His de@th reportedly occurred amid multiple att@cks in Awka on Sunday, which left three people de@d and several others injured.
Earlier, two men were reportedly shot de@d in the Amaenyi area, with the incident triggering a stampede that allegedly left several people injured.
While several people reportedly maintained that Nwosu had no history of c¥lt membership, others claimed that his son was allegedly a member of the Vikings Confraternity.
Awka has experienced previous c¥lt-related clashes that have claimed several lives.
As of the time of filing this report, police authorities had yet to officially comment on the incidents.
