Reality TV star Chidimma Esther Okagbue, aka Bella, has, through her lawyers, demanded billions of naira from her former lover, Segun Olusemo, aka Sheggz, over alleged t+rture, attempted m¥rder, breach of promise to marry and other grievances.
In a letter dated August 2026, Bella’s lawyers alleged that she suffered series of well documented buffeting, verbal a§§ault, emotional, physical and mental t+rture including attempted m¥rder via asphyxiation.
They claimed Sheggz a§§aulted Bella in October 2023, locked her inside his house and refused to let her leave. They also cited a message she sent his mother, “mum please call Shegzz to let me go home, I want to go home, I’ve been disrespected enough.”
The lawyers further stated that Bella had expressed fear over Sheggz’s alleged threats to k+ll her and constant str@ngulations in conversations documented in November 2025.
On the financial dispute, the letter cited Bella’s February 2024 message “you are hanging up on me ontop my own money again,” to which Sheggz replied, “I’ll pay you as soon as I have the money honestly and thank you for helping me out when I was tight”
The lawyers also state that Sheggz repeatedly promised to marry Bella. In a May 2024 message, he wrote “Then marriage. See my wife the whole world will be on f+re.”
Bella is demanding ₦19.826 million and £10,237, ₦500 million for breach of promise to marry, and ₦2 billion for physical, emotional and psychological trauma.
She also wants defamatory publications retracted, her pictures removed from his social media platforms and a public apology.
Her lawyers gave Sheggz three days to comply, thre@tening legal action and a further claim for ₦5 billion in exemplary and aggravated d@mages.
