US-Based Nigerian Professor Uju Anya Faces Backlash Over Inflammatory Posts About Conservative Activist Charlie Kirk

Professor Uju Anya of Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, has come under scrutiny over a series of inflammatory social media posts, including remarks about conservative activist Charlie Kirk and Britain’s late Queen Elizabeth II.

On the one-year anniversary of Kirk’s m¥rder, Anya described him as a “sh+tbag” and wrote, “may he r%t in piss.”

In another post, she wrote: “D+e first, white man, then ask yourself why I’m dancing.”

Her comments have sparked criticism, with some questioning whether Carnegie Mellon should intervene over the tone of her posts.

Anya previously drew widespread backlash in 2022 after commenting on Queen Elizabeth’s d+ath. She wrote: “I heard the chief monarch of a th+eving and r@ping genocidal empire is finally d+ing. May her pain be excruciating.”

Carnegie Mellon is headed by President Farnam Jahanian, who reportedly earns $3.15 million when benefits and perks are included. In a leaked 2025 staff meeting that became public in 2026, Jahanian reportedly described the Trump administration as “t%xic” and “revengeful.”
