Davido’s sister, Sharon, has revealed how she told her husband, who was her boyfriend at the time, that although she knows how to cook, she does not enjoy doing it.
Sharon made this known during a recent episode of The Morayo Show, where she spoke about her marriage, growing up in a wealthy family and managing her brother Davido’s finances.
Speaking about how marriage has changed her since she got married in 2013, Sharon said she is a “big communication person” and recalled being very honest with her husband from the early stages of their relationship.
She said, “So, you know, when I met my husband, I explained to him that it was not going to be a traditional kind of marriage. The first few weeks, months of us dating, I came to his house, I cooked and all the things.”
According to her, after preparing a meal for him, she asked, “Oh babe, are you enjoying the food?” and he responded, “Yes.” She then told him, “Good, enjoy it.”
Sharon said she subsequently made her feelings about cooking clear, telling him, “So now you know I know how to cook, but I don’t like cooking. And I hope that’s not going to be a problem.” She added, “I think that I was very honest.”
Speaking about being born into a wealthy family, Sharon explained that having access to family wealth does not mean having unlimited cash.
She said, “When you are born into a family office, family wealth, structure, there is structure. So you don’t just get to go into a coffer and take whatever. So you still have to live within whatever budget or means that you’re given.”
She further said, “A lot of nepo babies, should I say, they don’t have as much access to cash as you may think. They have more than the average person, but it’s not unlimited.”
Sharon also spoke about her brother’s spending habits, particularly his love for jewellery and cars. She revealed that they hold regular discussions about his finances.
