Rabiu Kwankwaso, the 2023 presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) and Peter Obi’s running mate in the 2027 race, has dismissed the debate over whether Obi won the 2023 presidential election.
Speaking during an interview, Kwankwaso was asked if he believed Peter Obi won the 2023 presidential election.
He responded, “No, I think that is gone. I think we should look at the future because, that debate will not help anybody.”
According to him, Nigerians should focus on the next election rather than continue debating the outcome of the 2023 presidential poll.
“Now we have president, uh, in the seat. Now what is important is 2027 election,” he said.
Kwankwaso, who is now set to run alongside Obi in the 2027 presidential election, also expressed confidence that his party could emerge victorious.
“I personally believe that, uh, by the grace of God, NNPP will win the election in 2027,” he stated.
