Gbemso, the new partner of actress Anita Joseph’s ex-husband, MC Fish, has addressed the controversy surrounding their relationship during a live session with Daddy Freeze.
She said she initially wanted to have dinner with MC Fish and his ex-wife at the beginning of their relationship to ensure everything was settled.
“I wanted to have dinner because I have a brother, or like an uncle, whose marriage also crashed, and he was able to remarry. And before he remarried, his wife said, ‘I want to have dinner with you and the ex-wife. I need to be sure that everything is okay.’ And I suggested it.
“And I’m like, okay, if that will not work, no problem. I’m going to stay hidden until you are done with that phase.”
Gbemso also clarified that she did not initially shade Anita, saying she only responded after a blog allegedly posted about her child.
“I do not have any problem with her. But my daughter was brought into it at some point. That was very, very sad for me, because even when I should have come out and put my daughter’s picture everywhere and fight and bring down the person that also caused me pain too, I didn’t do it.
“I kept my daughter’s picture hidden, and it really hurt me so much. That’s why I had to answer.”
She explained that her response was directed at the blog, but Anita later felt the comments were aimed at her.
“My mental health is not like I’m strong or anything. I’m the most playful somebody, but when I panic, when I’m replying, I’m panicking. I’m like, okay, how is this issue okay?
“I’m not standing from the point of love. I’m standing from a point of, do you guys not actually care for the mental health of the other person?”
Gbemso also said she had been dating MC Fish for almost a year adding that she had to stay hidden for those times because of controversy surrounding his relationship with his ex-wife.
