He kicked our daughter off his insurance after she came out as trans, despite promising to always love her — Elon Musk’s ex-wife claims

Justine Wilson, the ex-wife of billionaire Elon Musk, has alleged that the Tesla founder removed their daughter, Vivian, from the family’s health insurance just a day after she came out as transgender.

Wilson, who was married to Musk from 2000 to 2008, recounted the experience in an upcoming documentary about the billionaire, describing what she said was a dramatic change in his relationship with their eldest child.

According to Wilson, Musk initially told Vivian, now 22, “I’ll always love her.” However, she that the following day, their daughter had been dropped from the family’s health insurance.

The father and daughter have since become publicly estranged, with both exchanging criticism online. Musk previously wrote on X, “The woke mind virus k+lled my son,” a remark Vivian subsequently challenged.

Reflecting on the public exchange, Wilson said Musk was revealing his true position to their daughter through his statements to the world.

“Elon was telling her, through telling the world, what that point of view actually was,” she explained, adding that he never attempted to mend their relationship.

“And Elon never tried to repair things. That’s not in his nature. If a relationship ruptures, then it ruptures,” Wilson added.

She also criticised the way Musk appeared to regard Vivian’s transition, comparing his response to the loss of a child.

“What’s really happening here is this is a child growing up,” she explained.

Wilson further noted that parents must learn to accept their children’s independence as they grow into their own lives.

“If you do your job right as a parent, you get displaced by their life, which is no longer your life,” she said, acknowledging the emotions that can accompany the process.
