Edema Samuel, father of Jennifer Edema, the NYSC member who was beaten and stripped by Agunechemba vigilantes in Anambra, has spoken about the incident
In a video shared by Punch on August, 21 2025, Samuel said the incident has left him deeply unhappy. He said each time he watches the video of his daughter being humiliated, he cannot hold back his tears. He said all he wants is justice for his daughter and support from the state government to ensure the matter is not ignored
In the video Jennifer’s mother also expressed her pain, saying that the vigilante members beat her daughter almost to the point of death.
In Samuel’s words: “I am not happy about the incident. When I watch it, each time I watch the video I always burst into tears. All I want is justice, I want the state government’s assistance”
