Troops of Operation Hadin Kai have arrested a 65-year-old woman, Hauwa Abulazeez, for allegedly supplying dr¥gs to Boko Haram fighters in the North-East.
The arrest was confirmed in a statement on Sunday by the Media Information Officer of the Joint Task Force, Operation Hadin Kai, Lt-Col Sanni Uba. He said the suspect was apprehended on January 23, 2026, in Askira Uba Local Government Area of Borno State, following credible intelligence.

According to the statement, Abulazeez is suspected to be a key supplier and distributor of c@nnabis sativa to Boko Haram elements operating in Askira Uba, Rumirgo, Gwahi, Wamdiyo, Uvu and Gaya communities. She is also believed to play a major role in moving the substance across several areas within the theatre of operations.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the dr¥gs were allegedly sourced from Sarti Baruwa Local Government Area of Taraba State and transported through established supply routes for onward distribution.

During the operation, troops recovered 14 compressed blocks of c@nnabis sativa weighing about 30 kilogrammes, described as a major interception aimed at cutting off resources used to sustain criminal and t+rrorist activities.
The suspect is currently in custody and undergoing investigation, while follow-up operations are ongoing to track and dismantle the wider tr@fficking network.
