Nollywood actor Saga Adeolu has shared a candid take on what really happens behind the scenes of romantic films, saying many actors do not enjoy k+ssing scenes as much as viewers assume.
Speaking on a recent episode of the Nolly Icons podcast, the former BBNaija star dismissed the popular belief that actors take pleasure in such moments, describing the experience as awkward and uncomfortable.

“It is not easy to k+ss another actor. It is weird. I have not really had any good onscreen k+sses. It is weird having people invade your mouth with saliva,” he said.
Saga explained that most actors approach intimate scenes strictly as part of their job, focusing on storytelling rather than personal enjoyment.
“It is not something we enjoy. People think we enjoy it, but we don’t. We are just doing it for the story most times,” he added.

Highlighting the demands of the profession, he recalled a moment on set where he had to k+ss multiple actresses in one day, something he said he would avoid if given a choice.
“If I had my way, I won’t k+ss anyone in a film. There was a day I k+ssed four different girls on set,” he revealed.

Despite often playing romantic roles, Saga noted that he has never experienced what he would consider a “good” onscreen k+ss, emphasizing that such scenes can feel more technical than emotional.
He concluded by urging audiences to better understand and appreciate the professionalism of actors, who perform these roles to bring stories to life rather than for personal pleasure.
