A staff of the Federal Internal Revenue Service (FIRS), Felix Akeze, who held his wife and children at g#npoint has been arrested, Guardian News is reporting.
It is reported that Felix’s wife alerted one of her brothers of her husband’s intent to k!ll her and the children unless they repay him all he has spent on them. Akeze allegedly held them hostage at g#npoint in their Chevron Drive home in the Lekki area of Lagos State for five days, Eons Intelligence is reporting.
A media aide to FIRS chairman, Johannes Wojuola, said Akeze has been arrested by the police. Wojuola said preliminary investigations showed that the FIRS staff was under “mental pressure”. “Members of our own Security Team are at the scene and collaborating with the Chevron team to attend to the situation,” he said.
