Russian-Ukraine war: Why African countries did not interfere

Representatives of Russia and Ukraine have commenced another important meeting amid the ongoing war.

The meeting which is held at the border of Belarus is aimed at putting a stop to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

Ukrainian Presidential Adviser, Mykhailo Podolyak, disclosed this via a tweet on Thursday.

Podolyak disclosed that the main agenda of the meeting was an immediate ceasefire, armistice and humanitarian corridors for the removal of civilians from destroyed or constantly shelled villages and towns.

“We are starting to talk to Russian representatives. The key on the agenda. 1. Immediate ceasefire. 2. Armistice. 3. Humanitarian corridors for the removal of civilians from destroyed or constantly shelled villages and towns,” he tweeted.

As the war continues, Russia had captured the Ukrainian city of Kherson on Wednesday and has continued the bombardment of Mariupol.
