The two police officers who were captured in a viral video beating a woman at the Odo Ori Market in Iwo, Osun State, have been dismissed by the force.
The officers Inspector Ikuesan Taiwo and PC Abass Ibrahim, were arrested after a video of the assault went viral and was condemned by Nigerians and was brought to the attention of the Inspector-General of Police, Muhammed Adamu.
However, The police has disclosed on Twitter that the pair have been dismissed from the force, and would also be arraigned to court soon.
