The unruly behaviour of renowned Fuji musician, Wasiu Ayinde, popularly known as Kwam 1 or K1 De Ultimate, has triggered a major safety incident involving ValueJet, prompting regulatory sanctions from the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA).

According to sources, the incident occurred on August 5 aboard a ValueJet flight, where Kwam 1 was allegedly seen drinking from a flask. A flight attendant, suspecting the contents to be alc%hol, which is strictly prohibited on Nigerian flights asked him to surrender the flask. However, the musician reportedly declined, claiming it contained doctor-prescribed medication.

Following his refusal, the flight crew decided to deboard him. But Kwam 1, visibly angered by the action, moved to the front of the aircraft in protest, allegedly attempting to block the plane from departing.

A video obtained by TheCable showed the Fuji star on the tarmac with ground personnel, d@ngerously close to the aircraft as it prepared for takeoff. Shockingly, the aircraft proceeded to depart while Kwam 1 and others were still near its wings, an action that directly v+olated aviation safety regulations.

On August 6, the NCAA announced the suspension of two ValueJet pilots involved in the incident, citing “a serious breach of aviation safety protocols” at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja. The pilots were said to have initiated takeoff procedures without obtaining the required pre-departure clearance, thereby end@ngering ground staff and other airport users.

The aviation authority condemned the act as a reckless v+olation of both national and international safety standards. In addition to sanctioning the pilots, the NCAA is reportedly considering placing Kwam 1 on a no-fly list—a measure typically reserved for individuals deemed to pose a security risk.

If implemented, the restriction could significantly affect the artist’s ability to travel for both local and international performances.
