Gov. Uba Sani moves to unlock Kaduna’s massive Agricultural potential
The pace setting governor has described his recent official working visit to Bucharest, Romania, as a significant milestone in Kaduna State’s drive to unlock its vast agricultural potential.
During the visit, he performed the signing of a $120 million Memorandum of Understanding between the Kaduna State Government and African Industries Group led by its Chairman, Mr. Raj Gupta, as well as the Bank of Agriculture, aimed at revolutionizing irrigation farming in Gurara and establishing a modern greenhouse project in Gujeni, all in Kaduna State.
The Governor noted that the partnership goes beyond investment, positioning Kaduna as a future hub of agro-industrial excellence. By leveraging the State’s Special Agro-Processing Zone (SAP-Z) and the Africa Quality Assurance Centre (AQAC), farmers will be empowered to compete globally, enhance food security, create rural prosperity, and generate quality jobs for the youth.
He further emphasized Romania’s renowned agricultural expertise and strong European market links, stressing that the collaboration will strengthen Kaduna’s role in international trade. Governor Uba Sani reiterated that Kaduna is building a resilient, globally connected economy where prosperity becomes a reality for all citizens. #WorkingForKaduna
