The Lagos State Police Command has absolved the Senior Pastor of House on the Rock Church, Paul Adefarasin, of any wrongdoing following a viral video that showed him holding what was believed to be a gun.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, the command’s spokesperson, Abimbola Adebisi, confirmed that Pastor Adefarasin had voluntarily appeared at the state headquarters in Ikeja for questioning.
Investigations later revealed that the item in the viral clip was a stun g¥n, not a leth@l firearm.
“After thorough investigation, including interrogation and a cautionary statement from Pastor Adefarasin, it was confirmed that the object in question was a stun g¥n, not a firearm. On this basis, the Lagos State Police Command finds no grounds to pursue the case further. The matter is now closed,” the statement read.
The police added that it remains committed to transparency, the rule of law, and ensuring public safety.
