Kanye West was captured screaming at Kris Jenner in a h+ated moment from the new unauthorized documentary In Whose Name?, which premiered Friday.
In the clip, the 48-year-old rapper lashed out at his former mother-in-law, 69, after she begged him to take his medication. “Y’all demasculated me and made me feel like a piece of s***. And the only reason you got away with it is because I was medicated,” he shouted. “I would rather be dead than be on medication.”
West accused the Kardashian-Jenner family of avoiding responsibility for his hospitalization. “No one from the family is taking any responsibility… Am I lying?” he asked. When Kris replied, “It doesn’t matter,” West yelled back, “It do matter! It does matter!”
Jenner broke down as West pressed, “Did you have an effect on my m+ntal health?” She admitted, “Yes… And I love you. I love you. I don’t want you to be not perfect. I love you.” She added she wanted daughter Kim “to love you the way you want her to love you.”
Kim and Kanye, married in 2014, share four children before divorcing in 2022.
The film, shot by Nico Ballesteros over six years, includes rare iPhone clips of West’s meltdowns, cl+shes with Kim, his infamous “d+ath con 3” remarks, and encounters with stars like Lady Gaga, Drake, Rihanna, LeBron James, Diddy, Chris Rock, and Justin Bieber. It also revisits his 2009 feud with Taylor Swift, his SNL disputes, and his controversial ties to Donald Trump’s circle.
At one point, Pharrell Williams warned him he was “f***ing up” his life. Elon Musk also appeared, bluntly asking, “So are you and Kim off and on or something?” to which West replied, “I don’t have the answers.”
