Nigerian music superstar Tiwa Savage has sparked conversations online after revealing she wouldn’t mind being a second wife.
In a candid chat during a recent interview, the award-winning singer opened up about her views on relationships, admitting that finding the right partner has become increasingly difficult.
“I don’t know, maybe I could be a second wife,” Tiwa said, laughing. “Anybody that can really match me, they’re either in their 50s or already married. And honestly, those are the best ones because they’re already ‘potty-trained,’ you know? I just have to get along with the first wife.”
The “Somebody’s Son” crooner explained that she wouldn’t be a troublesome partner, saying she respects boundaries and has no interest in drama.
“She’s going to love me because I’m not going to stress her. I’ll be on tour most of the time. I’m very respectful — she’s the first wife, and I know that,” Tiwa added.
The singer’s comments have stirred mixed reactions among fans, with some praising her honesty and others questioning her stance. Still, Tiwa maintained that everyone has a right to choose the kind of relationship that works for them.
“People have to understand that there are all kinds of relationships people are okay with. It’s an individual choice,” she said.
