Sharon, the newly wedded wife of Nollywood actor Shawn Faqua, has shared a deeply personal testimony about her past struggles with divorce and how she found healing through faith before meeting her husband.
Speaking during a recent church service, Sharon recounted one of the most pa+nful periods of her life in 2023, when her marriage unexpectedly ended. According to her, her then-husband abruptly announced he no longer wanted to continue the marriage, leaving her devastated.
“One of the worst times of my marriage was in 2023 when I got divorced,” she said. “My husband just woke up one day and said, ‘I’m not marrying again.’ We didn’t have any issues, but I d+ed and resurrected because I held on to God’s garment.”
She revealed that after being introduced to Pastor Monica by Pastor Tefa, she received prayers and spiritual support that helped her begin the journey toward recovery. “A few weeks later, I came to church and Pastor Winston spoke about divorce. I promised God that I would share my testimony,” she said.
Sharon explained that although she initially resisted the prompting of the Holy Spirit to speak publicly, she eventually understood the importance of her story. “When I stood here, I knew why He asked me to. I just want to say that God healed me. I don’t care what it is you’re going through divorce, debt, child loss the only person that truly heals is God, and I can tell you from experience.”
The heartfelt testimony has drawn emotional reactions online, with many praising Sharon’s courage and faith in using her pain to inspire others.
