Publisher and ADC Chieftain Dele Momodu has described the suspension of Minister Nyesom Wike and several members of his camp in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as the “best news this year.” Momodu made the remarks in a post shared on his official Instagram page on Sunday, November 16, 2025.
In his statement, Momodu said, “For me, the best news this year is the suspension of MINISTER NYESOM WIKE and some members of his gang of troublemakers in PDP, who have remained inconsolable since WIKE lost the PDP Presidential primary in 2022, as well as his failure to snatch the Vice Presidential slot of the party…”
Momodu argued that although the decision came late, he welcomed what he called poetic accountability within the party. He wrote, “Though coming too late, I’m happy about the poetic Justice that made it possible for one of his closest political associates to be the architect of this classic extermination of a man who arrogantly believes he’s Supremely untouchable, and absolutely above all others in Nigeria…”
He added that the PDP might have avoided internal collapse if the suspension had been issued earlier: “If PDP had had the guts to do this just a year ago, perhaps the party would have remained intact today…”Momodu noted that the future of the PDP remains uncertain following the internal disciplinary actions: “It remains to be seen whether PDP would survive this or not, but let’s now raise a toast to the ‘TAMING OF THE SHREW…’ (apologies WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE)…’’
