The Department of State Services (DSS) has arrested a man for allegedly thr£atening Peter Obi following an att@ck on him in Benin, Edo state.
Last Tuesday, Yunusa Tanko, national coordinator of the Obidient movement, reported that Obi and some leaders of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) were att@cked at the residence of party chieftain John Odigie-Oyegun.

Shortly after the incident, a social media user, Udeme Stephen, allegedly claimed responsibility for the att@ck on his X account (@stevetom788) and thr£atened further vi%lence against Obi, including during a planned trip to Rivers state. In his post, Stephen said Obi was “lucky” to survive the Edo att@ck and warned that his men would “handle” him in Rivers state.
A security source confirmed that DSS operatives quickly launched a covert investigation, using forensic tools to trace the suspect to Rivers state, where he works as a teacher at Jessica High School in Eliozu, Obio-Akpor LGA. The 26-year-old man was subsequently arrested and is now in DSS custody.
