The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, is currently hosting a delegation of Rivers State APC leaders at his residence in Abuja.
The closed-door meeting brings together key figures from the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State, including the newly re-elected APC National Vice Chairman (South-South), Victor Giadom.
Other prominent attendees include several Senators, members of the House of Representatives, Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly Martins Amaewhule, members of the State Assembly, and other top APC chieftains from the state.
The gathering is believed to be part of strategic discussions ahead of the 2026 APC National Convention and future political alignments in Rivers State.
Notably, Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara was absent from the meeting. This development underscores Wike’s continued influence within Rivers political circles, even after his shift from the PDP, as he engages closely with APC stakeholders from his home state.
Further details on the outcome of the meeting are expected to emerge later.
