A makeup artist based in Asaba, Mrs. Deborah Mbara, has come forward with a shocking claim against popular personality Blessing CEO, accusing her of manipulating her personal medical records to push a false cancer narrative online.

Deborah, a wife and mother of four, said she met Blessing during a makeup job last year when the influencer visited Asaba for a shoot. What started as a casual client relationship later turned into something far more disturbing.

According to her, things took a dramatic turn recently when Blessing went online, tearfully claiming she was battling stage 4 cancer, even announcing plans to sell off her properties. Moved by the emotional videos, Deborah said she joined others in reaching out to encourage her.

During a phone call, placed on loudspeaker, Deborah said she prayed for Blessing, encouraged her to stay strong, and even connected her with a doctor who asked questions about her condition. The doctor reportedly advised urgent medical attention based on her responses.

Trying to help further, Deborah shared her own past medical report as a cancer survivor on Blessings request noting that she stated she needed it to understand the process and compare with her own results.

But days later, she was stunned.

Deborah claims she saw her own report, altered, being used by Blessing on social media to “validate” her alleged illness and solicit sympathy.

“I thought I was helping someone in need,” she said, visibly hurt. “Only to find out my report was doctored to support something fraudulent.”

The emotional toll was so heavy that Deborah avoided a physical meeting when Blessing reportedly came to Asaba to apologize. Her husband, however, insisted that the only real apology should be public.

Deborah has now made her stance clear: she is not part of any deception and refuses to be linked to it.

“I am a proud survivor,” she said. “Jesus saved me.”
